In India so far a total of 2,51,78,011 patients have recovered with 2,84,601 recoveries reported during the last 24 hours. The country’s rate of recovery from COVID-19 rose to 90.80%.

34,11,19,909 samples had been tested until May 27 with 20,80.048 samples being examined yesterday, according to the Indian Council for Medical Research (ICMR). COVID-19 symptoms are variable, with fever, toxins, headache, fatigue, difficulty breathing and loss of smell and taste.
Symptoms may start 1 to 14 days after the virus is exposed. There are not noticeable symptoms in at least one third of the people infected.
Of those who develop noticeable signs sufficient to be classified as patients, the majority (81%) have mild or moderate pneumonia, while 14% develop serious symptoms (dyspnea, hypoxia or more than 50% pulmonary imaging), with 5% having critical symptoms (respiratory failure, shock, or multiorgan dysfunction).
The risks of developing severe symptoms are increased for older people. For months after recovery, some people are still suffering from various (long COVID) effects and organ damage has been seen.
Multi-annual trials are in progress to investigate further the disease’s long-term impacts.
