Mumbai has reported a steady increase in the number of infections in the last 24 hours, with 863 Covid cases recorded. When the financial capital registered 570 cases, the positive rate rose to 2,27% compared to 1,76% of Tuesday.
However, the positive rate is under control, as below 5% have been declared to be in the safe area by the World Health Organization (WHO). As numbers increase, the state may consider the lifting or relaxation of restrictions in the state.
On Wednesday, the State cabinet debated the matter. In the last 24 hours, almost 38,000 tests were performed well above Tuesday’s 32,000.
On June 19th, 696 cases were registered in Mumbai, while on Monday on June 20th, 733 cases were registered with 521 infections.
Nevertheless, it is worth noting that these days, the number of tests was from 26,000 to 33,000 – much lower than on Wednesday the 38,000 tests Maharashtra also experienced an increase in infections on 10,066 new cases in Mumbai this week, a sudden increase in infections.
163 deaths and 11,032 patients recovered in the last 24 hours from the deadly illness. On Tuesday, 8,470 cases – from Monday’s 6,270 cases – were reported by the state.
In view of the public lack of respect for covid security norms, experts warned that this was possible days after restrictions were raised across the country. The upwards trend comes.
The third wave in the state of Covid – the worst of all in both waves of the condition – could come sooner than expected last week, experts in Maharashtra said.
