Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma Outing in Delhi ahead of RCB Vs DC IPL Match 2023
Indian cricketer and former captain of the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), Virat Kohli, and his wife, actress Anushka Sharma, were spotted on an outing in Delhi, the location of RCB’s upcoming match against the Delhi Capitals on May 6.
What Happened During Their Outing?
The couple spent some time away from the on-field action before the next match. Kohli posted a picture on social media of their day out in Delhi, which is also Kohli’s hometown. Anushka has been accompanying Kohli on his travels during this season of the IPL and has been spotted cheering for him from the stands.
Kohli and Gambhir Controversy
Earlier this week, Kohli was involved in a heated exchange with the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) team mentor Gautam Gambhir, moments after RCB’s 18-run win at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow on May 1. Both Kohli and Gambhir were docked 100% of their match fees, while Naveen-ul-Haq, with whom Kohli had a confrontation during the match, was fined 50% of his match fees.
RCB’s IPL 2023 Performance So Far
RCB has won five out of the nine matches played in IPL 2023, while losing the other four matches. They currently have a net run rate of -0.030 and are in the fifth position on the points table. Kohli has been in excellent form with the bat and has scored 364 runs from nine innings at an average of 45.50 and a strike rate of 137.87. He has scored five fifties in his nine innings in this season and is currently ranked fourth on the list of highest run-getters in IPL 2023.
