Search Operations in Multiple Districts
The search operations were conducted in Srinagar, Pulwama, Avantipora, Anantnag, Shopian, Poonchh, and Kupwara. These operations were carried out in connection with two terror-related cases, as reported by the news agency ANI.
Raids by Special Investigation Unit (SIU) Awantipora
Meanwhile, the Special Investigation Unit (SIU) Awantipora conducted raids at multiple locations in Reshipora Tral. The raids were conducted in connection with a case at Police Station Tral. Officials identified three suspects, namely Manzoor Ahmad Wani, Mouhsin Ahmed Loan, and Ariaf Bashir Bhat, and conducted searches at their residences.
Recovered Incriminating Material
During the search, incriminating material was recovered by the SIU Awantipora. The raids aimed to gather more information about the involvement of the three suspects in additional terrorism-related offenses, according to ANI.
State Investigation Unit Raids in Banihal and Ramsoo
On May 12, the State Investigation Unit, along with the Ramban district police, carried out raids at multiple locations in the areas of Banihal and Ramsoo. These raids were part of efforts to clamp down on elements that seek to disrupt the peaceful atmosphere in Jammu and Kashmir.
