As a response, the MVA allies, including the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), Shiv Sena (UBT), and Congress, have decided to conduct ‘explanatory’ sessions to clarify the significance of the apex court’s verdict.

At a joint press conference held in Thane, leaders from the NCP, Shiv Sena, and Congress announced their plans to reach out to the public and explain the Supreme Court’s decision on the Maharashtra political crisis. Anand Paranjape, the city unit president of the NCP, along with Pradeep Shinde from Shiv Sena and Vikrant Chavan from Congress, stated that these sessions aim to shed light on the ruling’s implications. They will provide a point-by-point explanation of the judgment, addressing the role of the governor and other relevant issues.
Countering false information
The MVA partners are determined to counter the false narratives being spread by conducting informative sessions. Anand Paranjape expressed his intent to expose the unconstitutional government through these initiatives. The Supreme Court’s verdict, delivered on various pleas related to the political crisis, clarified that it could not reinstate the former MVA government led by Uddhav Thackeray due to his resignation without facing a floor test. The governor’s decision to invite Eknath Shinde to form the government was justified based on Thackeray’s resignation and the BJP’s status as the largest political party in the House.
