The vibrant spirit of patriotism fills the air as Jammu and Kashmir gears up for the 77th Independence Day celebrations. A spectacular Tiranga Rally was organized in various parts of the region on Monday, setting the stage for a remarkable national commemoration. This dynamic event follows Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha’s participation in a mega Tiranga Rally in Srinagar on the preceding Sunday. The fervor continued with a bike rally conducted by over 100 Central Reserve Police Force personnel, adorning their bikes with the tricolor flags. The CRPF bikers embarked on a rally that wound through the city from the iconic Ghanta Ghar in Lal Chowk to the serene Nishat Garden on the banks of Dal Lake.
A Tribute to Unity and Independence
Monday witnessed yet another spectacular Tiranga Rally, this time in the high-altitude regions of Leh and Ladakh. The Muslim Welfare Society in Jammu and Kashmir’s Udhampur joined the fervent celebrations by organizing its own Tiranga Rally, highlighting the collective celebration of Independence Day.
Strong Symbolism at the Borders
Adding to the patriotic spectacle, the Border Security Forces’ women’s wing was spotted patrolling the Chenab river near the International Border in Jammu on the eve of Independence Day celebrations.
‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ Campaign Continues
Under the patronage of the culture ministry, an impressive 2.5 crore national flags have been supplied to post offices, ready for sale as part of the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign. Union Culture Secretary Govind Mohan expressed the nation’s excitement about this campaign, which garnered a significant response last year upon its launch. He affirmed the commitment to celebrate ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ in 2023 on a grand scale similar to the previous year. With all preparations in place, the nation stands united to honor the tricolor and the spirit of freedom.
