However, there is now a consensus between the Lt Governor and the elected government to grant a 10% quota to government school students selected through CENTAC (Puducherry’s Centralised Admission Committee).
File Sent to Union Home Ministry
The proposal, along with the resolution of the cabinet, has been forwarded to the Union Home Ministry for approval. The Lt Governor expressed her confidence that the approval would be granted swiftly. She emphasized the importance of sending the file to the Ministry, as the territory administration alone cannot decide on the quota.
