In a heartbreaking turn of events, two brothers have tragically lost their lives, allegedly through suicide attempts within a span of 24 hours. The third brother is currently in critical condition at a local hospital, grappling with the aftermath of his bid to hang himself.
First Suicide: Pan Singh (19) of Aurangabad Village
According to the police, Pan Singh, aged 19, from Aurangabad village, took his own life by hanging from a tree. The incident followed a heated argument with his father.
Second Attempt: Brajesh (21) – Intervention Prevents Tragedy
Shaken by the loss of his younger brother, Brajesh (21) attempted suicide by hanging himself in a room. Fortunately, family members and villagers intervened promptly, taking him to a hospital where he is currently undergoing treatment.
Tragic Return: Munish (25) Takes His Own Life
The eldest brother, Munish (25), employed in Chandigarh, returned home upon hearing the devastating news. Sadly, he, too, died by suicide, hanging from a tree near the village shortly after his return.
Police Response
Superintendent of Police, Sambhal, Kuldeep Singh Gunawat, confirmed the incidents. Though no formal police complaint has been filed, a report has been submitted to the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM).
Possible Motive
While the reasons behind these tragic events remain under investigation, initial information from family members and villagers suggests a close bond between the brothers. A dispute with their father about leaving the village in search of work might have triggered the youngest brother’s desperate act.
