All set for Mrunal Thakur, film realease starring Farhan Akhtar. The sports drama directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra stars Farhan as a national level boxer, with Mrunal playing an intriguing role.
The finished film is awaiting release because the producers have yet to agree on a suitable date. The film, which also stars Paresh Rawal and Darshan Kumar, was supposed to be released on May 21, but it was postponed due to the lockdown.
Mrunal says, despite her excitement for the film’s release, “the situation in the country is not that good.”
There is a lot of sensitivity out there. Even though we had finalised a release date in May, we decided to push it because the timing is critical. We believe that this is a film that deserves a lot of love and appreciation, and we can’t be inhumane by going all out to promote it in the midst of a pandemic.
The entire team prefers to wait, so no dates have been set as of yet, and the team will keep the audience updated on the release date.”
Mrunal was shown at Hrithik Roshan starrer Super 30, after her 2018 Bollywood debut with Love Sonia, in 2019. She also appeared the same year with John Abraham at Batla House.
