Haryana Government announced on Thursday a one-time Rs 5,000 financial help to small shopowners, construction workers, self-rick drivers and unorganised state workers to extend assistance to workers and small traders who are worst affected by COVID.
Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar stated for further details that families of the BPL who lost a Member to COVID in their 18 to 50 years of age group would be granted a Rs2 lakh ex gratia.
In the first quarter of 2021-22, the Chief Minister announced a host of other advantages, including the exemption from property taxes and the cut in the electricity bill.
All in all, these announcements include over 1,100 crore rs in a financial package. He added that a Rs 5,000 funding package will be provided to 12 lakh families, including construction workers and car drivers, involved in the unorganised sector.
Rs 600 crore worth of this package. The State Government said that there was a portal designed to provide easy access to the scheme for workers in the unorganised sector, with registrations on a portal commencing on 18 June.
Furthermore, for ASHA workers and those involved in the National Health Mission, the State Government announced Rs 5,000 each. This would mean a Rs 11 crore expenditure.
Likewise, the package for small shopkeepers of Rs 150 crore was announced. Khattar said that, for each BPL families whose members died due to COVID-19, in the age groups of 18 years and 50 years, the government announced a former grace of Rs 2 lakh each.
