Nikhil Chinapa, like Rannvijay Singha and Neha Dhupia, will not be a part of Roadies’ new season. Nikhil confirmed it, and he stated that he will miss his gang leaders. Since 2017, the host-VJ has been a part of Roadies. MTV Roadies is reportedly returning to its original format, with no gang leaders and only a host taking over the adventure reality show. As the show’s host, Sonu Sood will take over for Rannvijay Singha.
Nikhil told Indian Express that he has thoroughly enjoyed his time on the show. “I will definitely miss the atmosphere, the challenges, and the conversations with my fellow gang leaders and the crew, who are like my extended family,” he added.
Nikhil said of the new format, “MTV has stillbeen at the forefront of innovation and has consistently demonstrated thought leadership in the youth space.”
He also wished the new season luck, saying that he expects it to be as dynamic as previous seasons “except without the audacity and charm of gang leaders and a new host in Sonu Sood.”
Roadies Season 18 will begin filming soon in South Africa, and it will air on MTV in March.
