Amazon India And AICTE Unite For Women’s Tech Skill Development Program

In a significant move to empower women in technology, Amazon India has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) to extend its “Women of the World” (WoW) program. This initiative aims to equip women enrolled in engineering colleges across India with essential skills to excel in the technology industry.

Program Eligibility Criteria

The program is open to women students currently pursuing:

  • Four-year BTech/BE
  • Two-year MCA, M.Tech/ME program
  • Five-year dual degree

Registration Details

"Amazon India, in alliance with AICTE, expands its Women of the World program to empower women in engineering with essential skills. Secure your spot by registering for limited slots in each session."

To participate in the program, interested individuals must register for each session. The sessions will have limited slots, filled on a first-come-first-served basis through RSVP.

Collaborative Efforts

The MoU signing ceremony, which took place on November 16, 2023, featured key representatives, including Dr. Mamta Rani Agarwal, Advisor-I (P&AP Bureau) at AICTE, and Prof. Rajive Kumar, Member Secretary.

Amazon India’s commitment to fostering women’s skills in technology reflects a broader initiative to bridge the gender gap in the industry. The WoW program is expected to make a substantial impact on the professional development of women pursuing technical education in India.
