Boosted Security Measures Implemented At Vadodara Junction And Chhayapuri Stations Following Surat Stampede

In response to the recent stampede at Surat railway station, where a person lost their life, the Vadodara division of the Western Railway has taken proactive measures to enhance security and ensure passenger safety. The focus is on managing the influx of passengers traveling via 19 special holiday trains to destinations including Uttar Pradesh and Bihar.

Strict Entry Regulations

To prevent overcrowding and ensure a smooth flow of passengers, strict regulations have been imposed. Passengers will only be permitted to enter the station premises at Vadodara Junction and Chhayapuri railway stations at the scheduled departure time of their trains.

Additional Security Deployment

In an effort to maintain vigilant security, the railway authorities have deployed additional personnel round the clock. This includes members of the Railway Protection Force and the Government Railway Police stationed at key points, including entry and exit points and at the doors of each departing train’s coaches.

Unreserved Ticketing System Counters

To streamline ticketing processes and manage the increased passenger traffic, additional unreserved ticketing system counters have been set up at both Vadodara Junction and Chhayapuri railway stations.
