Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) Member of Parliament, Danish Ali, has taken a significant step by addressing concerns related to the violation of parliamentary procedures. In a letter addressed to Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, he points out alleged discrepancies in the functioning of two parliamentary committees.
Ramesh Bidhuri’s Defamatory Language

One of the committees in question involves Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Ramesh Bidhuri and his use of defamatory language against Danish Ali. In the letter, Ali brings up the established procedure for handling such cases. According to parliamentary norms, the complainant member should be called before the Privileges Committee first, followed by the accused member. However, Danish Ali asserts that this process has been disregarded, as the member accused of making unparliamentary remarks was summoned before him.
Nishikant Dubey’s Allegations Against Mahua Moitra
The second committee under scrutiny pertains to allegations made by BJP MP Nishikant Dubey against Trinamool Congress MP Mahua Moitra. Danish Ali’s concerns extend to this committee as well. He insists that, as the complainant, he has not had the opportunity to present his perspective in front of the committee.
A Significant Move
Danish Ali’s decision to address these alleged violations of parliamentary procedures is a noteworthy development. This move highlights the importance of adhering to established norms and the need for a fair and transparent parliamentary process.
This situation underscores the ongoing dynamics within the Lok Sabha and the efforts by MPs to ensure accountability and fairness in parliamentary proceedings.
