Canada Denies Report Linking Prime Minister, Jaishankar, NSA Amid MEA Rebuff

Following a firm rebuke from India’s Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), Canada has rejected a report that claimed to link Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar, and National Security Advisor Ajit Doval to certain allegations. The Canadian government asserts that there is no credible evidence to support these claims.

MEA’s Strong Rebuff

The MEA had earlier denied the accusations, categorically dismissing the allegations as baseless. The Indian government emphasized that there was no substance to the report, which had sparked controversy in the media.

Canada’s Denial

Canada has dismissed a controversial report that sought to link Prime Minister Modi, Foreign Minister Jaishankar, and NSA Doval to evidence of misconduct. The move follows a firm rebuff from the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), denying any such claims.

In response to the MEA’s objections, the Canadian authorities have joined in rejecting the claims. Canada has stated that the report, which allegedly sought to link senior Indian officials to improper conduct, lacks factual evidence.

Diplomatic Relations Unaffected

Despite the claims, both governments have reiterated that diplomatic ties remain strong. India and Canada are engaged in ongoing dialogue, and this dispute is not expected to undermine bilateral relations.
