The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the results for the Class 12 board exams, and this year, they have decided not to publish a merit list or award divisions to students. The board will issue merit certificates to only 0.1% of students who achieved the highest scores across various subjects. The decision was made to prevent unhealthy competition among students.
Pass Percentage and Comparison to Last Year
The overall pass percentage for CBSE Class 12 exams this year is 87.33%, a 5.38% decrease from last year’s 92.71% pass rate.
No Merit List, No Division Awarded
CBSE officials confirmed that no merit list would be announced, and they will not divide students based on their scores or ranks.
Merit Certificate to 0.1% Students
CBSE will issue merit certificates to 0.1% of students who have scored the highest marks in various subjects.
