On Thursday (30th March), the festival of Rama Navami, the birth anniversary of Lord Rama, was celebrated with full religious enthusiasm throughout the country. During this time, clashes were also seen in many states of the country. In Fatehpura area of Vadodara (Vadodara) in Gujarat (Gujarat), stone pelting was done on the Ramnavami procession. In addition, stone pelting also took place during the Ramnavami procession in Howrah (Howrah) of West Bengal (West Bengal) and vehicles were also set on fire.
After the ruckus, police personnel carried out a flag march in the area. West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee blamed the BJP without naming it for the Howrah incident. She said that they have been calling goons from outside the state to carry out communal riots. No one stopped their processions, but they do not have the right to march with swords and bulldozers. How did they dare to do so in Howrah?
“Route changed to target one community”
Mamata Banerjee said that Ramadan is also going on and Muslims do not do any ‘wrong’ work during this month. She said that my eyes and ears are open. I can smell everything. I had already warned them to be careful while taking out processions from Muslim-majority areas. I have said before that if there will be a rally on Ramnavami, there could be violence. Today bulldozers were also taken to Howrah. The route was changed, who was asked to change the route? So that one community can be targeted.
She said that if they believe that they will attack others and get relief through legal interventions, then they should know that one day people will reject them. Those who have not done anything wrong will not be arrested. How dare BJP workers run bulldozers on people’s homes?

What happened in other parts of India?
In Fatehpura area of Vadodara, Gujarat, Police Superintendent Yashpal Jaganiya said that during the incident some vehicles were damaged, but no one was injured. The procession was taken out through a pre-determined route under police protection. Jaganiya and other senior police officers arrived at the scene after learning of the incident.
Jaganiya claimed that security arrangements were made in every procession taken out in the city on Thursday. The situation is under control. The incident happened when the procession reached near a mosque and people started arriving at the scene. This is not a communal riot. We dispersed the crowd and the procession moved forward. Deputy Police Commissioner Manoj Ninama also arrived at the scene and ordered additional forces to be deployed to maintain peace.
there was also a commotion on Ramnavami in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. DCP North Lucknow Kasim Abidi said that a person named Sumit along with 10-15 people were playing some music on the DJ, after which a debate broke out between two groups of people. An objection was raised by another group when it passed through a religious place in Madiyaon village under Janakipuram police station. There was no permission for the procession. Both groups were taken into custody. Peace prevails in the area.
the situation in Delhi remained tense during the festival of Ramnavami. In Jahangirpuri in North-West Delhi, a large number of people took out a march against the rules on the occasion of Ramnavami, after which riot control forces had to be deployed in the area to prevent any untoward incident. The police gave this information.
Delhi Police had refused to allow a group of people to take out a ‘Shri Ram Bhagwan Pratima Yatra’ in Jahangirpuri under the Ramnavami festival. In view of the violent clash between two communities during the Shobha Yatra taken out in the area on the occasion of Hanuman Jayanti last year, the police had taken this step. In Ram Nagri Ayodhya, Lord Rama’s birth anniversary was celebrated with full enthusiasm amidst tight security.
