A horrifying incident occurred on the night of December 9 and 10, as a 20-year-old Dalit woman was allegedly gang-raped by two drivers in a moving bus traveling from Uttar Pradesh to Jaipur.

The assault took place within the confines of a private bus during its journey from Uttar Pradesh to Jaipur. The victim, who was on her way from Kanpur to Jaipur, was seated in the bus’s cabin.
Perpetrators and Arrest
The accused, identified as Arif and Lalit, carried out the heinous act. Arif has been apprehended and is currently in judicial custody, while Lalit remains at large and is the subject of an ongoing search.
Police Response
Bhagwan Sahay Meena, the Station House Officer (SHO) of Kanota police station, provided additional details. The SHO mentioned that the assault occurred in a closed cabin while there were other passengers on the bus. The victim raised an alarm, alerting fellow passengers who intervened, leading to the capture of Arif. Lalit managed to escape.
