The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has issued a warning regarding the increasing trend of making videos and reels inside metro stations and trains. This practice, aimed at sharing content on social media platforms, has been causing inconvenience to commuters. Despite previous appeals to refrain from such activities, the DMRC has seen limited success in curbing this behavior. In light of this, the DMRC has once again emphasized the message, urging individuals not to disturb co-passengers and to refrain from recording videos.
DMRC’s Advisory: “Open your camera, Na Na Na” and “Johnny Johnny! Yes Papa? Making reels in the metro? NO PAPA!”
The DMRC conveyed its advisory through a popular nursery rhyme line, posting on Twitter, “Open your camera, Na Na Na.” The advisory continued with the line, “Johnny Johnny! Yes Papa? Making reels in the metro? NO PAPA!” Additionally, a text below the advisory explicitly stated that any activity causing inconvenience to passengers is strictly prohibited inside the Delhi Metro.
Public Response and Concerns
Since the advisory was shared, it has garnered over 17,000 views, 281 likes, and several comments. Users expressed their frustrations with the lack of strict actions taken against offenders, suggesting the implementation of fines and measures to prevent such activities. Some questioned the effectiveness of the DMRC’s posters, stating that they do not lead to tangible changes on the ground. Concerns were also raised regarding the identification of individuals making reels and posting them on social media platforms.
It is important for commuters to abide by the DMRC’s warning and refrain from engaging in activities that cause inconvenience to their fellow passengers. By adhering to these guidelines, individuals can contribute to a more pleasant and comfortable commuting experience for everyone.
