When the doors of the European Union open to the external world one by another for the first time since March20, tourists will discover a patchwork of systems rather than a single border free area, as national governments have resisted giving up their border controls through the pandemic.
And Britain is headed for itself completely after Brexit. In the meantime, it’s not always the friendly mood. For instance, the US frontiers are still closed largely to non-US citizens. Here are some of the popular European tourist destinations, looking at the current entry rules.

This applies to Americans “as long as they are able to produce formal evidence of vaccination,” but not to large parts of the world such as China and Russia, where other vaccines are used. Wednesday reopened the French borders. Officially.
A negative PCR test of not more than 72 hours or a negative antigen test of not more than 48 hours will continue for vaccination visitors from other parts of Europe and some ‘green countries.’

BRITAIN There are currently few, if any, US tourists. UK has a traffic lighting system for risk assessment, and the US is on the list of “amber,” as well as the majority of European nations, which means that all who arrive have to self-isolate themselves at home or where they stay for 10 days.
