Telugu Desam Party (TDP) Chief, Chandrababu Naidu, has started his padayatra from Tanuku to Iragavaram village, West Godavari, as a part of ‘Rythu Porubata’. During this, he alleged that the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) government is exploiting farmers in the purchase of paddy, and that farmers are committing suicide due to the inefficiency of the government. He further claimed that the farmers have not received their insurance even after suffering crop losses. Kakinada Rural MLA Kurasala Kannababu criticized Naidu and Jana Sena Chief Pawan Kalyan for politicizing the issue without verifying the facts.
YSRCP Government Exploiting Farmers
Chandrababu Naidu accused the YSRCP government of exploiting farmers in the purchase of paddy, and that farmers are committing suicide due to the inefficiency of the government. He questioned Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy regarding the extra 4-5 kilograms of paddy being taken from farmers, and stated that he would stay with the farmers until the entire paddy is purchased by the government.
Farmers Not Receiving Insurance
Chandrababu Naidu claimed that the farmers have not received their insurance even after suffering crop losses. He said that this shows the inefficiency of the government.
