In a tragic incident on Monday night, unidentified assailants shot and killed a 37-year-old gold trader, Samir Padiya, on the national highway at Kolaghat in West Bengal’s Purba Medinipur district. The attackers made off with valuables, including jewelry worth Rs 40 that Padiya was carrying in a bag.
