The government has officially awarded the contract to Ram Sutar Art Creations Pvt. Ltd., a company recognized for its expertise in monumental sculptures. This firm, based in Uttar Pradesh, gained international acclaim for designing and building the Statue of Unity, the world’s tallest statue, dedicated to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.
Location and Plans for the New Statue
The new statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj is set to be installed at the historic Rajkot Fort. Authorities have assured that the structure will be designed to withstand natural and environmental challenges, addressing concerns raised after the previous statue’s collapse.
