There’s no denying that dark mode makes everything look better than light mode. There is less strain on the eyes, and the dark screen is also visually appealing. Finally, Google has jumped on board, launching a global rollout of dark mode for Google search on desktop.
In December 2020, Google began testing the new dark theme for Google Search on Desktop. After months of testing, it is now available for Windows 10 and macOS platforms.
However, keep in mind that you may not be able to spot the theme because it has not yet been rolled out to all regions.
Google Dark Theme: When To Receive
When you receive it, a “Dark Theme is now available” notification will appear on Google search for the web. Another way to see if you’ve received the dark theme is to go to the Google Search home page and click on the settings button; you should see the dark theme option under the appearance section. There will be three options available to you: default, light theme, and dark theme.
In terms of appearance, it is identical to any other dark mode, with the exception that the white background has been replaced with dark grey. In dark mode, the colourful Google Search logo appears in white. Almost every other app on the market now has a dark mode, whether it’s WhatsApp, Instagram, or Facebook, and it’s about time Google Search got one, especially since it’s one of the world’s most popular search engines.
At the moment, the rollout appears to be region-specific, with many Indian users still waiting. Google, on the other hand, has yet to issue an official statement. Google may also include dark mode in more desktop browsers, such as Brave and Opera.
Until now, many browsers began to include a built-in dark mode, but they were incompatible with Google Search, despite their availability. The company is updating the search to make it easier for users to find COVID-19-related information. Google Search also allows users to look for COVID-19 vaccine and testing centres near them.
