India’s recorded within 91 days, less than 50,000 new Covid cases, with 42,640 new cases. With 1,167 fresh deaths, the count of death increased to 3,89,302. The record-breaking cases were reported one day when India vaccinated 86,16 lakhs.
In the fresh cases of Covid, according to the Ministry of Health of the Union, there has been a tally of cases of 2,99 crore. There are 6.62 lakh of active cases, less than seven lakh after 79 days. Further down to 2.56 per cent was the daily positive rate.
India has a positive rate lower than 5 per cent for the 15th straight day. On Monday 6 270 new COVID-19 cases, Maharashtra, the worst hit state, took a tally of 59,79 lakh.
So far, Maharashtra has identified 21 Delta Plus Covid variant cases, a mutant Delta variant, state health minister Rajesh Tope said. The highest number of infections has occurred in Maharashtra, Kerala, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh.

The positive rate fell to 0.16%, the lowest since the pandemic began. In the last 24 hours, Assam has registered 2,805 new infections and 35 Covid dead.
On Monday, the state government relaxed the curfew at Covid, where there have been less than 400 fresh positive cases in the last ten days.
In several positive cases, Mizoram is now experiencing a spike. 374 new cases were recorded by the state on Monday.
