Sai Sudharsan’s Blazing 82 Powers GT to 217/6 Against RR in IPL 2025 Clash

Sai Sudharsan once again proved why he’s the backbone of Gujarat Titans’ top order in IPL 2025. The left-hander smashed a brilliant 82 off 53 balls, peppering the boundaries with 8 fours and 2 sixes. Coming in after Shubman Gill’s early dismissal, Sudharsan built the innings with maturity and power, showcasing perfect timing and calm under pressure.

Titans Recover After Early BlowThanks To Sai Sudharsan

Skipper Shubman Gill was dismissed for just 2 runs by Jofra Archer in the third over, putting GT on the backfoot. But Sudharsan combined well with Jos Buttler to stabilize the innings. Their 80-run stand off 47 balls helped Gujarat regain momentum. Buttler made a solid 36 before falling to Theekshana, who also removed Shahrukh Khan later in the innings.

Middle-Order Muscle: Shahrukh and Tewatia Step Up

Shahrukh Khan brought in the fireworks with his 36 off 20 balls, including 4 fours and 2 sixes, complementing Sudharsan’s measured innings. Rahul Tewatia added a late burst with 24 not out off just 12 balls, ensuring the scoreboard kept ticking even after key dismissals.

Rajasthan Bowlers Struggle, But Fight Back Late

Rajasthan Royals had few bright spots with the ball. Maheesh Theekshana was the pick of the bowlers with 2 wickets, including the crucial dismissals of Buttler and Shahrukh. Sandeep Sharma kept things tight, ending with figures of 2 for 21 in his four overs. Fazalhaq Farooqi also bowled a tidy spell, conceding just 28.

217 on the Board, Advantage Gujarat?

Gujarat Titans closed their innings at 217/6, a formidable total at the Narendra Modi Stadium. The red-soil pitch offered good bounce and pace, but dew could come into play in the second innings. Rajasthan Royals will need a near-perfect chase, with Yashasvi Jaiswal, Sanju Samson, and Shimron Hetmyer key to pulling off a heist.
