Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor (LG) Manoj Sinha chaired the third G20 Tourism Working Group meeting, highlighting the region’s new era of development. The meeting was attended by over 60 delegates and focused on the growth and peace brought about by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s development schemes.

During the meeting, LG Sinha emphasized that Jammu and Kashmir has always been a center of knowledge, wisdom, and breathtaking landscapes. Despite 30 years of state-sponsored terrorism from a neighboring country, PM Modi’s development initiatives have empowered the state. J&K is now open to a new era that embraces growth, peace, and development. The region has experienced significant progress, with a surge in tourist visits.
J&K Hosts 3rd G20 Tourism Working Group Meeting
Under India’s G20 Presidency, the union territory of Jammu and Kashmir hosted the 3rd G20 Tourism Working Group (TWG) meeting. The meeting took place despite a boycott from China and Pakistan. J&K Lt Governor Manoj Sinha, along with Union Ministers G Kishan Reddy and Dr Jitendra Singh, and G20 Sherpa Amitabh Kant, participated in the meeting.
Jammu and Kashmir’s hosting of the G20 TWG meeting showcases its growing prominence and highlights the region’s potential as a tourist destination.
