JoSAA 2025 counselling is set to begin from June 3, 2025, for admissions into IITs, NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs across India. The announcement comes just ahead of the JEE Advanced 2025 result, scheduled to be declared on June 2, 2025.

The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) will conduct the centralized counselling process, which is expected to run through multiple rounds across June and July.


JoSAA 2025: Participating Institutes

JoSAA will facilitate admissions into 121 premier engineering institutions:

  • 🏛️ 23 Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs)
  • 🏫 31 National Institutes of Technology (NITs)
  • 🖥️ 26 Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs)
  • 🏗️ IIEST Shibpur
  • 🏢 40 Government Funded Technical Institutes (GFTIs)

Eligibility Criteria for JoSAA 2025

For IITs:

  • ✔️ Must qualify JEE Advanced 2025
  • ✔️ Must have passed Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in 2024 or 2025

For NITs, IIITs, GFTIs:

  • ✔️ Must have a valid JEE Main 2025 rank
  • ✔️ Class 12 must be passed in 2023, 2024, or 2025 with required subjects

JoSAA 2025 Registration & Choice Filling Process

Step-by-Step Guide:

  1. Visit the official website: josaa.nic.in
  2. Login using JEE Main/Advanced credentials
  3. Enter candidate details and verify via OTP
  4. Fill in preferences for colleges and courses
  5. Lock choices before the deadline

🔒 Note: If you don’t lock your choices, the last filled ones will be auto-locked.


Seat Allocation and Acceptance Process

  • 🪑 Six rounds of seat allocation expected
  • 💳 Seat acceptance fee must be paid online once a seat is allotted
