A 17-year-old from Kota, Aryan Singh, has created an innovative all-purpose robot named AgRobot. This solar-powered marvel is designed to assist farmers in various aspects of agriculture.
Sustainable Energy Source

AgRobot operates entirely on solar energy, thanks to a piezoelectric panel integrated into its structure. The panel utilizes pressure to generate electricity, ensuring an eco-friendly and sustainable power source for the robot.
Multi-Functional Capabilities
Aryan’s creation is equipped with a range of features to aid farmers in their daily tasks. The robot comes fitted with soil moisture sensors for assessing soil health, detecting pests, and determining water requirements. Additionally, it utilizes Artificial Intelligence (AI) trained on diverse farming data, making it a versatile tool for farmers.
Recognition and Awards
Aryan Singh’s dedication to innovation earned him the prestigious Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar in the science and technology category. He was the sole recipient from Rajasthan among a group of talented youngsters from 18 states and Union Territories.
Remote Accessibility
The AgRobot can be controlled remotely, enhancing its usability. Through an application developed by Aryan, farmers can manage the robot’s operations from a distance, providing convenience and efficiency in agricultural activities.
Funding and Future Prospects
The initial funding for AgRobot came from iStart, a flagship initiative by the Rajasthan government for supporting startups. Aryan and his mentor at SR Public School are optimistic that AgRobot will enter the market within a year, revolutionizing farming practices.
Cost-Effective Solutions
Despite the initial prototype cost of Rs 50,000, Aryan believes that mass production will significantly reduce the cost of manufacturing. This cost-effectiveness makes AgRobot an accessible solution for farmers looking to enhance their agricultural practices.
Mentorship and Community Impact
Aryan’s mentor, Prakesh Soni, highlights the positive impact of AgRobot on farming operations. Farmers can remotely control various tasks, from irrigation to monitoring crop conditions, providing a technological leap in agricultural practices.
Future Business Endeavors
While currently in the prototype stage, AgRobot has already attracted attention from potential investors. The director of SR Public School, Ankit Rathi, anticipates offers for investment in the manufacturing of AgRobot, showcasing the bright future for Aryan’s innovative creation.
Aryan Singh’s AgRobot stands as a testament to the potential of young minds in bringing sustainable and efficient solutions to age-old challenges in agriculture.
