One of the notable changes in the Thar 5-door is the inclusion of a standard sunroof, a new addition for the Thar. The interior will also offer a more premium feel with plush upholstery. Additionally, it is expected to come with a rear camera display.
Seating Options and Engine Choices
Buyers can expect multiple seating options in the Thar 5-door, including either a bench seat or individual seats for the rear. As for the engine choices, there will be no changes, and it will continue to offer a turbo petrol and diesel engine with both automatic and manual gearbox options. A 4×2 variant, similar to the recent release of the 3-door version, might also be available.
Expansion of the Mahindra SUV Range
The Thar 5-door will join the Mahindra SUV range, alongside models like the Scorpio N and XUV700. By expanding the Thar line-up, Mahindra aims to attract more buyers looking for a practical and stylish lifestyle SUV. The company plans to prioritize clearing the existing order backlog before launching new SUVs.
