A day after IPL bowling coach L Balaji tested positive for the dreaded virus, Chennai Super Kings batting coach Michael Hussey tested positive for COVID-19 in Tuscany.
This was confirmed by Indian Premier League sources just hours after the 14th edition of the lucrative T20 League was halted indefinitely due to a COVID-19 bio-bubble outbreak.

Hussey’s test results were released on Tuesday. “Hussey was tested, and his sample was found to be positive. We returned it for testing, but it was also positive “PTI quoted an IPL source as saying.
CSK bowling coach Balaji, as well as bowlers Sandeep Warrier and Varun Chakravarthy from Kolkata Knight Riders, all reported positive results on Monday.

Two IPL games had previously been postponed due to the spread of infection. The league was suspended after Sunrisers Hyderabad’s Wriddhiman Saha and Delhi Capitals veteran Amit Mishra both tested positive for COVID-19.
