Sudden Dust Storm and Rain Cool Down Noida, Delhi NCR

In a welcome turn of events, Noida weather shifted drastically on Thursday evening, bringing much-needed relief to residents grappling with scorching heat and dry conditions. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) had earlier predicted a dust storm and light rainfall in parts of Delhi NCR, and the forecast proved accurate.

Sudden Weather Change in Noida and Delhi NCR

After a hot and sunny afternoon, the skies over Noida and western Delhi suddenly darkened as strong gusts of wind picked up dust and caused visibility issues. Many areas, including parts of Ghaziabad and Noida, reported light drizzles following the dust storm.

According to IMD data, the minimum temperature recorded in Delhi today was 25.9°C, nearly 5.9°C above the seasonal average. The maximum temperature was projected to touch 39°C. In Noida, temperatures mirrored similar extremes before the storm brought a noticeable drop.

IMD’s Noida Weather Forecast: Wind Speeds and Rainfall Prediction

The IMD has predicted that winds in the region could reach speeds of 40-50 kmph. These gusts, coupled with mild showers, are expected to provide some respite from the ongoing heatwave. However, experts suggest this relief may be temporary and that significant drops in temperature are not expected immediately.

The recent weather change is attributed to a western disturbance currently affecting northern India. The impact of this system is likely to persist through Friday as well, according to the weather office.

Noida Weather Tomorrow: Similar Conditions Expected

Friday’s forecast indicates a continuation of mild rain and dust storms across Noida, Delhi, and surrounding NCR cities. The IMD has advised residents to stay indoors during high wind periods and avoid areas prone to falling debris or low visibility.

Today’s sudden change in Noida weather came as a relief for many battling the intense heat. While the dust storm and light rain brought temporary coolness, residents should brace for continued high temperatures with minor variations over the next few days.
