OnePlus has entered the tablet market with the OnePlus Pad, its first tablet. The OnePlus Pad comes with a number of interesting features and very good hardware. It faces some stiff competition, not just from the tablet OG — iPad — but also from other Android players in the tablet space. One of the most notable challengers standing in its path is the Xiaomi Pad 5, which also packs in a lot of very good hardware and features at a surprisingly affordable price.

It has a larger display (11.61 inches as compared to 10.95 inches), a higher resolution (2,800×2,000 pixels as compared to 2,560×1,600 pixels) and even a higher refresh rate (144 Hz as compared to 120 Hz).

The OnePlus Pad offers 8GB RAM while the Xiaomi Pad 5 offers 6GB RAM.

The OnePlus Pad comes with an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 processor, while the Xiaomi Pad 5 comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 860 processor. Both of these processors are very good, but the Snapdragon 870 is slightly better. The OnePlus Pad also comes with a better GPU than the Xiaomi Pad 5, which is important for gaming performance.

If you are on a tight budget, the Xiaomi Pad 5 is a no-brainer. It is significantly more affordable than the OnePlus Pad.
