Manmohan Singh expressed his condolences to former Prime Minister Blossom Fernandes in a letter. He was a high-ranking member of the Congress Party in Karnataka, and his hard work, nice demeanour, and popularity aided the Congress… My wife, Gursharan Kaur, has sent you and the rest of your family our heartfelt condolences.
“May God give you the strength and courage to handle this huge loss,” wrote God in a letter.

Under Manmohan Singh’s cabinet, Fernandes served as Union Minister for Transport, Roads, and Highways. The Ministry of Labor and Jobs also received a supplementary fee over the same period.
He was also the President of the Central Electoral Authority of the All India Congress (AICC).
Fernandes was believed to be a former AICC general secretary close to Sonia Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi, whom Fernandes was believed to be.
In the late 1980’s he served as the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee and, when it came from Karnataka on the shoreline of Karnataka, as AICC Joint Secretary in 1983. In April 1998, following five years as a Lok Sabha MP between 1983 and 1997, he was elected to the Rajya Sabha Squad.
He established the Jolly Club NGO in addition to political activity, where he created a library for the development of reading habits among young people.
Fernandes was a highly qualified artist of Karnataka, the Yakshagana, a traditional coastline.
Fernandes is considered as a talented person by his close acquaintances. He studied the dance form “Kuchipudi” in Delhi, in addition to his affinity for harmonium, keyboards, and table.
He was born in Karnataka, a coastal Christian town. He sang in his church choir in addition to active athletics.
