He took to social media to share an update on his health and recovery. The actor underwent keyhole surgery and has been advised to rest and undergo physiotherapy for the next couple of months.

Prithviraj Sukumaran injured his leg while filming a stunt sequence for the movie ‘Vilayath Buddha’. The incident occurred on the film set in Marayoor, Idukki district. The actor was then shifted to a private hospital in Kochi, where he underwent keyhole surgery to address his injury.
Taking to social media, Prithviraj Sukumaran updated his fans and followers about his condition. He expressed gratitude for the concern and love shown towards him. The actor mentioned that he is now recouping and will need to focus on rest and physiotherapy for the next few months. Despite the challenges, he aims to utilize this recovery period constructively.
‘Vilayath Buddha’ and Other Projects
‘Vilayath Buddha’ is a Malayalam movie directed by Jayan Nambiyar. The film revolves around a conflict between two lead characters over the ownership of a sandalwood tree. Based on a book by G R Indugopan, the movie also stars Anu Mohan and Priyamvada Krishnan. The shooting of the film has been temporarily halted due to Prithviraj’s injury.
Apart from ‘Vilayath Buddha’, Prithviraj Sukumaran has other projects in the pipeline. He will be seen in Prabhas’s upcoming film ‘Salaar’, where he will play the role of an antagonist. Directed by Prashanth Neel, the movie is scheduled to be released on September 28. Additionally, the actor will also portray an antagonist in the movie ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’, featuring Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff.
