On Tuesday, Haryana Police said that they were investigating the rape charges against the PSO of a leader of the Rohtak Congress.
The PSO, Jitender, a sub-inspector in the Haryana Police, was accused of rape of the complaint made two days ago by the police against a nurse.
Rohtak DSP Gorakhpal has stated that for the last year the victim and PSO have been in contact. ‘Apart from being associated with a senior Congress leader, the accused seemed to coax her for a long time,’ the DSP stated.
The accused allegedly raped the nurse at gunpoint in her Rohtak room one night. She later became pregnant.
The nurse told the cops that she didn’t report the incident to them sooner because of his threats.
According to the DSP, the case is currently being investigated, but no arrests have been made. Haryana is a state in India that is located in the country’s northwestern region.
