Sushmita Sen’s brother, Rajeev Sen, and television actor Charu Asopa have officially divorced on June 8. The couple, who got married in 2019, faced difficulties in their marriage from the early stages. Despite making several attempts to reconcile, they ultimately decided to end their relationship. In a recent interview, both Rajeev and Charu discussed their commitment to co-parenting their daughter, Ziana, and expressed their desire for a positive future.
Charu, in an interview with ETimes, stated, “Yes, Rajeev and I are officially divorced now, and we will continue to co-parent Zianna to the best of our abilities. We are cordial and shall remain so. Maintaining a level of friendship is important when a child is involved. Rajeev and I will always wish well for each other.”
Rajeev also emphasized his dedication to his daughter and his support for Charu in raising her. He stated, “Love does not end when it comes to my daughter. Charu and I will maintain cordiality and support each other in providing the best for our daughter. As a father, it is essential for me to dedicate my time to her, and I prioritize Charu’s well-being. My love and unconditional support will always be there for her. I also hope that someday Charu and I can reconcile and get back together again.”
After the divorce, Rajeev shared a photo on his Instagram story showing him and Charu smiling together. He captioned the photo, “There are no goodbyes! Just two people who couldn’t hold on to each other. Love will stay. We will always remain Mom and Dad to our daughter.”
In other news, Rajeev was recently offered a spot on Bigg Boss OTT season 2, but he declined the opportunity. He addressed the speculation surrounding his participation in an Instagram video, stating, “I would like to clarify that I am not entering the Bigg Boss OTT house. The reason behind my decision is that the show requires a significant time commitment, which I am unable to provide.” Rajeev expressed his gratitude for the love and support he received from fans and hoped they would understand and accept his decision.
