Actor Rajpal Yadav recently opened up about a tragic event from his past and discussed his current relationship. He shared the story of his first wife’s passing during childbirth when he was only 20 years old. Rajpal’s first wife, Karuna, passed away in 1991 while giving birth to their daughter.
Tragedy Strikes at a Young Age
Rajpal Yadav, known for his comedic performances, spoke candidly about his personal life and the heartbreaking loss he endured at a young age. He revealed that his father had arranged his marriage to his first wife. However, the joyous occasion turned into a tragedy when Karuna passed away while giving birth to their daughter. At the time, Rajpal was a student at Delhi’s National School of Drama.
Coping with the Loss
Reflecting on the emotional toll of losing his first wife, Rajpal shared that he was emotionally unprepared to deal with the tragedy at the age of 20. He recalled the difficult experience of carrying his wife’s lifeless body on his shoulders, knowing he was supposed to meet her the next day. However, he expressed gratitude towards his family, particularly his mother and sister-in-law, for ensuring that their daughter never felt the absence of her mother. She grew up surrounded by love and care.
Finding Love Again
During the interview, Rajpal also discussed his current wife, Radha Yadav. He explained that he met Radha while shooting the film “The Hero” in 2001, and they stayed in touch after their initial meeting. They eventually got married in 2003, with the approval of both families. Rajpal emphasized that Radha has played a crucial role in raising their older daughter and taking care of their family.

Rajpal Yadav, a versatile actor, has upcoming films in the pipeline. He will be seen in “Satyaprem Ki Katha,” starring Kartik Aaryan, and “Dream Girl 2,” featuring Ayushmann Khurrana.
