Rashmika Mandanna’s fans were treated to a big surprise on her birthday, April 5. The actress, dubbed “National Crush,” has been cast in Thalapathy Vijay’s upcoming film, Thalapathy66. The actress was overjoyed and even shared her joy on Instagram Story. “What could possibly be a better birthday gift?” she wrote.
Rashmika joined the cast and crew of Thalapathy66 in Chennai after cutting a cake with the paparazzi at Hyderabad airport today. Several photographs from the puja ceremony have been published.
Vijay wore a blue shirt, beige pants, and a tikka on his forehead to the ceremony.
Rashmika looked stunning in a shimmery yellow lehenga, gold and kundan jhumkas, and a tikka. Along with her lehenga, she accessorised with a gold embroidered blouse.
Hari and Ashishor Solomon wrote the story and screenplay for the untitled film. Karthick Palani will be in charge of the camera, while KL Praveen will be in charge of the editing. The film’s co-producers are Sri Harshith Reddy and Sri Hanshitha. The production designers are Sunil Babu and Vaishnavi Reddy.
Rashmika, on the other hand, will make her Hindi debut in Sidharth Malhotra’s Mission Majnu. She will also appear alongside Neena Gupta in Amitabh Bachchan’s Goodbye.
Vijay, on the other hand, is preparing to release Beast. Beast, starring Pooja Hegde as the co-lead, will be released on April 13, 2022.
