Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy made a series of bold statements during his visit to Kodangal on Saturday, asserting his leadership on the Waqf Bill, announcing development funds, and sharply criticizing both Union Home Minister Amit Shah and BRS leader K. Chandrashekar Rao.
Key Highlights:
Speaking at a Dawat-E-Iftar event, Reddy said:
“I am the first one to raise the Waqf Bill issue, even before AIMIM leader Akbaruddin Owaisi. The Congress party has long supported the Muslim community.”
Waqf Bill and Minority Support

Reddy underlined the Congress party’s commitment to minority welfare and cited local initiatives in Kodangal, stating:
“We sanctioned 25% of the MLA funds for the development of Muslims in Kodangal Assembly Constituency. You don’t need anyone else—one signature from me is enough to deliver.”
He assured the local population of direct access to his office, bypassing bureaucratic hurdles.
Ambedkar, Amit Shah, and National Politics

Addressing a preparatory meeting of the “Jai Bapu, Jai Bhim, Jai Samvidhan Abhiyan,” Reddy slammed Union Minister Amit Shah over his comments on Dr. B.R. Ambedkar in Parliament:
“Amit Shah spoke insultingly of Ambedkar. His words support those who assassinated Mahatma Gandhi. But today, Ambedkar is revered like an invisible god in every village.”
Reddy emphasized that social transformation in India is rooted in Ambedkar’s Constitution, and that state-wide protests will continue against attempts to undermine his legacy.
Criticism of KCR and the Assembly

Taking aim at BRS leader K. Chandrashekar Rao, Reddy accused him of skipping Assembly sessions to avoid accountability:
“KCR is avoiding the Assembly to dodge discussions. Those who do attend lack basic knowledge and the will to learn.”
He accused the opposition of trying to destabilize Kodangal, especially around land acquisition efforts for industrial development.
Bold Promises for Kodangal

Reaffirming his long-term commitment to Kodangal, Revanth Reddy pledged:
- Ten years of leadership focus on the constituency
- Significant infrastructure and industrial development
- Two jobs per family for those affected by land acquisition
“The CM’s chair belongs to Kodangal for the next ten years. Let’s use this opportunity to transform the region.”
Revanth Reddy’s latest visit to Kodangal reaffirmed his position as a hands-on, politically assertive leader. From minority welfare to Ambedkar’s legacy and targeted promises for local development, the revanth reddy narrative is one of active governance and direct confrontation with both national and state-level opposition.
With the Assembly dynamics heating up and elections on the horizon, his words and actions in Kodangal are likely to shape key political discourse in Telangana.
