RPF constable K. Sanitha displayed exceptional presence of mind when she noticed a passenger attempting to board a moving train at Begumpet Railway Station in Hyderabad. The passenger lost control and faced the risk of falling into the gap between the train and the platform. Acting swiftly, constable Sanitha rushed towards the passenger and pulled her away, saving her from potential harm.
Recognition for Courageous Efforts
The South Central Railway (SCR) recognized this incident as part of their ‘Jeevan Raksha’ (life-saving) mission, which acknowledges the efforts of RPF personnel who risk their own lives to save others. Sanitha’s timely intervention saved the passenger’s life and was commended by Arun Kumar Jain, the General Manager of South Central Railway. Such acts of bravery not only boost the morale of the Railway Protection Force but also inspire other railway staff members to undertake similar courageous efforts.
