Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov warns of a “real” threat of a third world war in Ukraine.
On Monday, Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov stated that peace talks with Ukraine would continue, but he also warned of World War III’s “real” threat.
He expressed his displeasure with Kyiv’s approach to the negotiations with the Russian media, saying: “The power of goodwill has its limits.” Even if the other party reciprocates, it does not help the negotiation.
Negotiations with the team sent by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky will continue, but for the time being, we will remain involved.
Lavrov accused former actor Zelensky of “pretending” to negotiate.
He called him a “good actor.”
If you watch carefully and read carefully, “you will find a thousand contradictions,” he added.
According to Lavrov, the threat of a third world war is “real” in today’s tense environment.
“The danger is serious, it is real, you can’t underestimate it,” Lavrov told the news agency Interfax.
He expressed confidence that Ukraine’s current conflict would be resolved peacefully. “The signing of an agreement, of course, will signal the end of the process.”
For the time being, the terms of this agreement are subject to change depending on how things go in the fight when it becomes a reality.
