According to Lavrov, the threat of a third world war is “real” in today’s tense environment.
“The danger is serious, it is real, you can’t underestimate it,” Lavrov told the news agency Interfax.
He expressed confidence that Ukraine’s current conflict would be resolved peacefully. “The signing of an agreement, of course, will signal the end of the process.”
For the time being, the terms of this agreement are subject to change depending on how things go in the fight when it becomes a reality.
