Shamita has a fashion design diploma at SNDT College in Mumbai following her degree in Commerce from Sydenham College.
She then began her fashion internship with ash designer Manish Malhotra, but Manish saw a thunderbolt in her and offered her to prepare her for her stage career.
In 2011, Shamita decided to follow her passion for interior design and she created Royalty, a club in Mumbai, her first solo project.
She then graduated from the Central Saint Martins and the School of Design of Inchbald in London, with a love for interior design
