Indian cricketer Rishabh Pant, who survived a life-threatening car accident in December last year, is making a quick recovery while focusing on rehabilitation. Recently, his teammate Shikhar Dhawan visited him at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru. Dhawan shared a picture on Instagram, where Pant can be seen with a bandage on his knee.
Reunion at the National Cricket Academy
Shikhar Dhawan, the captain of Punjab Kings, and Rishabh Pant, both hailing from Delhi, reunited at the NCA. The two players share a close bond, having played together for the national team as well as the Delhi Capitals in the Indian Premier League (IPL).
Pant’s Recovery and Absence from Cricket
Following the near-fatal car crash last year, Rishabh Pant has not played any cricket. His absence was felt in the IPL 2023 season, where he was ruled out, and David Warner took over the captaincy for the Delhi Capitals. Unfortunately, the team had a disappointing season, suffering several losses. Despite recovering well, Pant is expected to miss the Asia Cup 2023 and the ODI World Cup 2023 in India.
