According to Deputy Director General of Meteorology Senthamarai Kannan, the hot and humid weather conditions will continue in isolated areas of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry until June 4. He stated that the discomforting weather is likely to persist for the next three days (June 2 to June 4) due to the prevailing hot and humid conditions. The maximum temperature in these regions is expected to be around 39-41 °C, which is significantly higher than the normal range.

He further speculates whether the temperature in Meenambakkam, Chennai, will reach 43 °C and awaits the official readings from the IMD for confirmation.
