Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee President, Revanth Reddy, has made serious accusations against Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) and Minister K. T. Rama Rao (KTR). He claims that the government is involved in a 30 percent commission scheme on tenders. In a media address at Gandhi Bhavan, Reddy challenged KTR to a debate on 24-hour electricity supply at a specific Rythu Vedika (agricultural meeting) and accused KCR of looting Rs 15,000 crores through tenders. The projects in question include KTPS, Yadadri, and Bhadradri thermal power projects, worth Rs 45,730 crores. Revanth Reddy labeled the government as a “30 percent commission government” and criticized the corruption taking place under the guise of addressing the power deficit in Telangana. He alleged that free electricity was being misused as a tool of corruption.
Demands for Transparency and Accountability

Revanth Reddy further accused KCR of corruption in the construction of thermal plants. According to him, civil works were being allocated to KCR’s followers, while electrical work was assigned to BHEL (Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited). He demanded transparency in project costs and the companies involved in the work delegated by BHEL. In response, he instructed party workers to stage counter protests at Rythu Vedikas until 24-hour electricity is provided.
Strong Reaction to Remarks Against Rahul Gandhi
Revanth Reddy also strongly reacted to KTR’s comments against AICC leader Rahul Gandhi. He called KTR’s remarks, which suggested Rahul Gandhi’s lack of knowledge about agriculture, unwarranted. He urged Congress party workers to confront KTR during his visits and question him about his comments on Rahul.
The allegations made by Revanth Reddy have sparked controversy and raised concerns about corruption within the government. The ongoing dispute between the Telangana Congress Chief and the ruling party has further intensified the political landscape in the state.
