With the upcoming Assembly election and a focus on highlighting welfare schemes, the KCR government in Telangana has planned an extensive celebration for the formation day. The celebrations will span 21 days, from June 2-22, and aim to showcase the achievements and impact of various sectors.
Schedule of Activities
The Chief Minister, K Chandrasekhar Rao, reviewed and finalized the schedule of daily activities during the formation day celebrations. Here is an overview of the planned activities:
June 2: Tribute to Telangana Martyrs
The celebrations will commence with CM KCR paying tribute to Telangana martyrs at Gun Park in Hyderabad. Later, he will unfurl the national flag at the Dr. BR Ambedkar Telangana Secretariat premises and address the participants.
June 3: Telangana Farmers Day
On this day, the State Agriculture Department will organize several programs at Rythu Vedikas to highlight the achievements of the state’s agriculture sector and welfare schemes such as Rythu Bandhu and Rythu Bima.
June 4: Safety Day
The State Police Department will organize programs to explain their efforts in maintaining law and order, friendly police policies, and efficient services at the state and district levels.
June 5: Telangana Vidyuttu Vijayotsavam (Achievements of the Energy Department)
A meeting will be held to explain the qualitative changes achieved in the power sector, along with discussions with farmers, consumers, electricity workers, and public representatives at the constituency level.
June 6: Telangana Industrial Growth Festival
Meetings will be conducted in industrial areas and IT corridors to highlight the progress achieved in respective fields.
June 7: Irrigation Water Day

Meetings will be organized in all district headquarters to convey the benefits of administrative reforms and making government systems more accessible to the people.
June 11: Telangana Literature Day
District-level Kavi Sammelanams and state-level programs at Rabindra Bharati will be held, along with poetry competitions and prize distribution.
June 12: Telangana Run
The Telangana Run program will be organized in all constituency centers, with the participation of youth, students, public representatives, and officials.
June 13: Telangana Women’s Welfare Day
Officials will explain the government’s programs and welfare schemes implemented for the welfare of women, with awards given to outstanding female employees.
June 14: Telangana Medical Day
Health facilities provided by the medical and health departments will be explained to the public, along with the foundation stone laying for a new super specialty hospital.
June 15: Telangana Palle Pragati Day
Progress achieved by Telangana villages, serving as role models for the country, will be showcased, and felicitation of Sarpanches of the best Gram Panchayats and MPPs of the Mandals will take place.
June 16: Telangana Pattana Pragathi Day
This day will highlight the progress achieved by urban bodies.
June 17: Telangana Tribal Festival
Meetings will be held in the newly-formed tribal villages, explaining the government’s measures for tribal welfare.
June 18: Telangana Drinking Water Festival
The transformation of Telangana into a 100 percent drinking water supply state through Mission Bhagirath will be explained.
June 19: Telangana Green Festival
A large-scale plantation program will be implemented across the state to increase greenery and improve forest cover.
