Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has announced that the state government is allocating an annual budget of Rs 12,000 crore to provide free electricity to farmers. The primary aim of this initiative is to ensure the well-being of farmers and bring smiles to their faces. CM KCR made this announcement during a public meeting held in Nirmal district headquarters.
Promoting Employment Opportunities: Food Processing Units in Every Mandal
In addition to providing free electricity to farmers, Chief Minister KCR has pledged to establish food processing units in every mandal of the state following the elections. This initiative aims to generate significant employment prospects for the youth by setting up large-scale food processing facilities.
Telangana’s Vision: Advancing as the Most Advanced State
CM KCR expressed confidence in Telangana’s ability to become the most advanced state in the country. The government is actively working on various new programs and planning initiatives to achieve this vision.
Addressing Challenges: Efficiency and Transparency
During his address, the Chief Minister highlighted the challenges faced under the previous administration. Issues such as extortion by Village Revenue Officers (VROs), manipulation of land records, and fraudulent changes to property ownership were mentioned. CM KCR emphasized the efficiency and transparency of the Dharani portal, which enables land registrations to be completed in just fifteen minutes and title deeds to be obtained in ten minutes.
Continuity of Developmental Work and Welfare Programs
CM KCR urged the people to continue supporting the government’s initiatives to ensure the continuity of developmental work and welfare programs for all sections of society. He cautioned that if “evil forces” were to come to power in Telangana, they would likely abolish schemes such as Rythu Bandhu (a farmer support scheme) and the Dalit Bandhu program (a welfare program for Dalits).
Progress and Investments in the State
The Chief Minister highlighted the progress made in Telangana, citing the creation of four districts from the previously remote Adilabad district as an example. He also mentioned the establishment of three new medical colleges in Mancherial, Asifabad, and Nirmal, in addition to the existing medical college in the old Adilabad district.
Financial Support: Allocation for Gram Panchayats and Municipalities
In terms of financial support, CM KCR announced an allocation of Rs 10 lakh for each of the 396 Gram Panchayats in the district. Furthermore, he sanctioned Rs 25 crore for the municipalities of Nirmal, Muthole, and Khanapur, and Rs 20 lakh each for 19 mandal headquarters.
This initiative by the Telangana government aims to support farmers, promote employment opportunities, and ensure the overall development and well-being of the state.
