DESCRIPTION OF WEBSITE SERVICES OFFERED

The Site is a news and information website that is described as follows:

Any and all visitors to our site, whether registered or not, are deemed to be “users” of the herein contained Services for the purposes of this TOS. Once a user registers for our Services by creating an account, the user is considered a “member.”

The user and/or member acknowledges and agrees that the Services provided and made available through our website and applications, including some mobile applications, and that those applications may be made available on various social media networking sites and numerous other platforms and downloadable programmes, are the sole property of Hindustan Herald. Hindustan Herald may, at its discretion, offer additional website Services and/or products, or update, modify, or revise any current content and Services, and this Agreement shall apply to any and all additional Services and/or products, as well as any and all updated, modified, or revised Services, unless otherwise specified. Hindustan Herald expressly reserves the right to cancel and discontinue any of the foregoing Services and/or products. You, as the end-user and/or member, acknowledge, accept, and agree that Hindustan Herald is not liable for any such updates, modifications, revisions, suspensions, or discontinuance of any of our Services and/or products. Your continued use of the Services provided following the posting of any updates, changes, and/or modifications shall constitute your acceptance of such updates, changes, and/or modifications, and as such, you should review this Agreement as well as any and all applicable terms and policies on a regular basis to ensure you are aware of all terms and policies currently in effect. If you do not agree to the updated, revised, or modified terms, you must immediately cease using the provided Services.

Furthermore, the user and/or member understands, acknowledges, and agrees that the Services offered are provided “AS IS,” and that Hindustan Herald assumes no responsibility or obligation for the same.

REGISTRATION

You must be at least 18 years old to enter into and form a legally binding contract in order to register and become a “member” of the Site. Furthermore, you must be in good standing and not a person who has previously been barred from receiving ‘s Services under the laws and statutes of the United States or another applicable jurisdiction.

When you register, information such as your name, e-mail address, birth date, gender, mailing address, occupation, industry, and personal interests may be collected. You can change your account information at any time. You are no longer anonymous to us once you register for and sign in to our Services.

Furthermore, the registering party acknowledges, comprehends, and agrees to the following:

The safety and privacy of all visitors, users, and members, particularly children, is a top priority for Hindustan Herald. As a result, parents of any child under the age of 13 who allow their child or children access to the website platform Services must create a “family” account, which certifies that the individual creating the “family” account is of 18 years of age and, as such, the parent or legal guardian of any child or children registered under the “family” account. As the creator of the “family” account, he or she is granting permission for his or her child or children to use the various Services provided, including, but not limited to, message boards, email, and/or instant messaging. It is the responsibility of the parent and/or legal guardian to determine whether any of the Services and/or content provided are appropriate for his/her child’s age.
