Pune Man Succumbs to COVID-19
The first reported death is of an 81-year-old man from Pune who had pre-existing conditions, including hypertension and a lung infection. The state health department officials provided details on Wednesday, December 27, 2023.
Death in Sangli
Another fatality was reported in Sangli, where a 75-year-old man, who had previously tested positive for COVID-19, succumbed to the virus.
Testing Efforts
Pune Municipal Corporation officials stated that testing efforts have been intensified, with over 4,000 tests conducted since December 18 to monitor and control the spread of the virus.
